Sudden singularities in generalized hybrid metric-Palatini cosmologies

In this work, we explore cosmological sudden singularities arising in the dynamically equivalent scalar-tensor representation of generalized hybrid metric-Palatini gravity. Using a FLRW background, show that structure field equations prevents from at time derivatives scale factor orders lower than four, but they are allowed to appear for higher orders. Imposing an ansatz factor, provide explicit solution where these fourth-order derivative factor. A comparison Hubble and deceleration parameters model with experimental measurements Planck Satellite allow us impose constraints on span which occurrence becomes likely our universe, as measured Big Bang.
